Some of our wines, which also include the Sopraquota 900, are worked in clay jars. These containers promote the micro-oxygenation of wine in the same way as the barrique does, but without releasing the typical tannin of the wood.
All our jars are branded Tava, an artisanal firm that has been working the clay for three generations.
It is a clay container which has been used to store oil and wine since the Etruscans age. More porous than the amphora, it allows an excellent micro-oxygenation of the wine. Moreover, the clay is characterized by a good thermal insulation capacity, which protects the wine from the thermal shocks.
